Hydrangea paniculata Candlestick 3L

A elegant paniculata variety valued for its slender, upright flower spikes that stand tall above the foliage like candles, giving the variety its name. Creamy-white conical blooms appear from mid-summer, ageing to a warm pink-red blush as autumn approaches. A sturdy, well-branched shrub with strong stems that hold the flowers upright without flopping, making it a striking choice for borders, informal hedging, or as a specimen plant.

Position: Full sun to partial shade. Prefers moist, well-drained soil.

Height & spread: Reaches approximately 1.5–2m in height and spread at maturity.

Care: Prune in late winter or early spring, cutting back to a strong pair of buds to encourage a good display of flowers the following summer. Water well during dry spells, particularly while establishing. Mulch annually to retain moisture and improve soil condition.
