A reliable, free-flowering hydrangea prized for putting on its show weeks before other paniculata varieties. Large, conical flower panicles open creamy-white in mid-summer, gradually flushing to soft pink as the season progresses. A vigorous, deciduous shrub with an upright, bushy habit, it suits borders, cottage gardens, or large containers, and works equally well as a specimen plant or informal hedging.
Position: Full sun to partial shade. Prefers moist, well-drained soil.
Height & spread: Reaches approximately 1.5–2m in height and spread at maturity.
Care: Prune in late winter or early spring, cutting back to a strong pair of buds to encourage a good display the following summer. Water well during dry spells, particularly in the first couple of seasons after planting. Mulch annually to retain moisture and improve soil condition.
Each Early Harry is hand-selected from our British-grown range to ensure strong, healthy plants ready to establish quickly in their new home.
