Hydrangea quercifolia Ice Crystal 3L

A striking oakleaf hydrangea grown for its distinctive, deeply lobed foliage and elegant, upright flower panicles. Creamy-white blooms appear in mid-to-late summer, ageing gracefully to a soft antique pink. The deeply cut, oak-shaped leaves turn rich shades of burgundy and orange in autumn, giving this variety real year-round interest. A slightly more compact and refined form than the species, making it well suited to smaller gardens as well as larger borders.

Position: Partial shade to full sun, though some afternoon shade is beneficial in hotter spots. Prefers moist, well-drained soil.

Height & spread: Reaches approximately 1.2–1.5m in height and spread at maturity.

Care: Prune lightly after flowering, if needed, to maintain shape; flowers form on old wood, so avoid hard pruning in late winter or spring. Water well during dry spells, especially while establishing. Mulch annually to help retain moisture and protect roots.
